| A Fallen Star in the world of painting, Jhim43 works in the "Anything Goes" School of fine arts. This includes art forms from limestone sculpture to gardening. When it can be enjoyed as well as prepared in a style or tradition, Jhim43 will attempt their own signature variation. |

Yesterday was a bit of a quiet day. Fridays are always a day off from the Tech Annex, and my aunt wanted me to drive her to her eye appointment and to go shopping on the way home for a birthday gift for one of her niece's sons. (my cousin's son)
I went home with intentions of animating some more, but never quite got GTA 3 out of my head. I finished the game at about 3:30 in the afternoon before I shrugged, saved it, and went back to my drawing pad.
While watching court shows, the Simpsons, and then somewhere around the middle of TMZ, I got hungry and antsy. Needing a bit of refreshment in my perspective, so I decided to head out to Orland Mall. I had not been in a while.
------------------------------
I went out at about 6pm, knowing full well it was Friday night, and a popular teen-vampire sequel was released this week. (We all know that a werewolf can never beat a tried and true Tuffy-dog!)
I perused the place, soaking up the ambiance of a shopping mall for the first scene of my AMV. (shit! I gave away my project) While there, I did a lot of window shopping for things I would not normally buy. It must have been a loooong time since I've really enjoyed a mall, because I noticed Orland finally got a Lego store. I was also hankering for Hickory Farms, and looking around housewares in department stores. (If it wasn't for my trip to the Lego store, I would swear I was old)
I went to the Subway sandwich storefront and turned a five-Dah-yuh footyong (say it outloud like a little kid, and it makes sense) into a 1.50 footlong.
I left the mall and went to Borders, still mindful that "New Moon" came out to theaters last night. I sat in the car for a few minutes eating my sandwich, and remembering I had apple juice stashed in the back seat. I cut costs on a trip out and still haven't been bummered.
I went into Borders and walked slower than usual. The store was surprisingly empty, and I brought my netbook to mooch some wifi. While mindlessly cruising the books with pictures in them, I was annoyed to find humor and comic and even manga lacked my neat books. "f*ck 'em!". So I cruised the art books and got slightly less annoyed that no one sells my art books...that kind of aren't in print anyway. I wondered if Monet felt like this going to gallery sales of paintings.
I left after checking some messages, and then went down the block to Michael's. (for the record: I like Hobby Lobby much better, but who can argue with convenience) Needless to say I just sort of walked around hoping a muse would slap me in the back of the head with a small notebook of ideas, but no such luck.
---------------------------------
I got in my car and decided to just go home, since it was almost 9pm. Most places close at that time, so I went home. I was thinking of love so I sang along with a lot of the music on the mp3 player.
most memorable on the trip:
"Alive and Kicking" - Simple Minds
"Heart Breaker" - Dionne Warwick
I like singing along in the car, especially since people assume you are talking on a cel phone through the dashboard.
Maybe I'll meet someone nice, but even so, it was a pleasant feeling for once without feeling lonely.
